The FOMO Email Subject Line

This is one of the classic psychological principles, and probably one of the most effective ones. The FOMO (Fear of missing out) is a very powerful trigger and if used in a smart way can improve your email opens by a huge margin.

We can use this to create scarcity and urgency for our offers. In fact use of words like “urgent”, “important”, “expires” have a track record of improving open rates.
